Back in the day most television shows, scripted or not, were filmed live. Your parents might even be too young to remember it, so you might have to go all the way up to your grandparents to hear about this strange, prehistoric time. (Just be careful; this could result in an unbearably long trip through their many halls of nostalgia.) Soon you'll get a glimpse of what it was like, as NBC is developing a live sitcom.
The plot of Hospitality isn't groundbreaking—it's centered upon a hotel staff in midtown Manhattan—but going live could be just crazy enough to draw viewers. It falls in line with NBC's recent experimentation with Bill O'Reilly's favorite way to do things, including Sound of Music Live and the upcoming Peter Pan Live.
Next thing you know we're going to see black-and-white shows back on network television.
