The cast of Zack Snyder's upcoming Batman vs. Superman just gained another major player: According to EW, Fast & Furious franchise star Gal Gadot has been cast as Wonder Woman, and will star alongside Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck in the film.
Snyder revealed the news in a new statement:
"Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character."
Before nabbing this role, Gadot appeared as Gisele Harrabo in the past three Fast & Furious movies, and she appeared in a 2009 episode of Entourage. Prior to pursuing acting, she appeared in the 2004 Miss Universe pageant as Miss Israel.
