7. HTC Rezound

Carrier/Price: Verizon, $300

You know the story by now. HTC drops $300 million to acquire Beats By Dre and rumors immediately circulate about a new smartphone with Beats Audio Technology. Lo and behold: a few months after the acquisition, the HTC Rezound was born. At the forefront is the Beats experience, which kicks the audio quality up a notch during music playback. Helping to deliver better sound are the exclusive in-ear headphones with noise-cancellation technology and talk and play/pause buttons to answer calls and navigate through playlists. As great as the Beats integration is, let's not forget the Rezound is a great Android phone that sports the latest HTC Sense UI (3.5) and new additions like a Facebook Chat widget and slow-motion video capture. It's also the first U.S. handset with a 720p 4.3-inch Super LCD display. And HTC plans on keeping the Rezound fresh going into 2012 as it awaits its Ice Cream Sandwich updated.
