ILoveMakonnen has been having a pretty great year, and it’s all been leading up to this moment. After working and performing with Drake last year, Makonnen has been keeping momentum flowing with a number of notable loose tracks, as well as the fifth entry in his Drink More Water series. Now he’s finally following up last year’s ILoveMakonnen EP with his second commercial release, ILoveMakonnen 2.
Featuring production from the likes of FKi and DJ Mustard, as well as a few tracks produced by himself, the EP sounds like Makonnen’s most polished collection of songs to date. Featuring both distinct sides of his unique music, 2 sees Makonnen flexing as per usual, as well as slowing it down for a number of sader, forlorn cuts.
