We’re officially in that summertime, and that time for turning up (and down) with new music is needed now more than any other time. It’s party time, it’s after party time, it’s sexy time… there are a lot of times that we need to fill with music. Don’t trip, though; your DAD’s got you.
Rustie – “Raptor”
New Rustie album? This’ll be one of the best projects of 2014, methinks. This is the first bit we’ve heard, and we’re intrigued.
Owen Pallett – “Song For Five & Six (DJ Rashad & DJ Spinn Remix)”
No word on how long ago this was completed; it has a weird Steve Reich vibe to it, which I like. The original has a weird ’80s electronic pop feel to it, but the TEKLIFE crew just flipped a certain part into a beast.
Jamie xx – “All Under One Roof Raving”
The steel drum jam that Constant Gardner has been pining over since March. One of the best tracks of 2014, trust and believe.

David Heartbreak – “War of the Roses”
Dark, soulful, and beautiful; this could be the future of bass music.
Noisia & Phace – “Purpose”
This is taken from Noisia’s forthcoming EP, and is one of the reasons why I am falling back in love with drum & bass in 2014.
Hot Natured – “Benediction”
It feels like this track keeps getting released, but the video is pretty slick, and the EP is due out in the near future. Lovely chilled sounds.

Grandtheft & Keys N Krates – “Keep It 100″
Who knew that trap music and monster trucks could work so well together?

Buku – “Cake Dough Cheddar”
Keeping it trappy, here’s a banger from Buku. Straight up video game wonderment from one of the nicest to do it.
S-Type – “Rosario”
S-Type’s Rosario EP might be theme music for some of your weekend adventures. Live life to this.
Mono/Poly – “Ra Rise”
Sullen awesomeness from the Brainfeeder camp. Mono/Poly’s Golden Skies LP is due in August, and this one has us excited. Roll credits.
