MTV Announce Nominees for the 2013 Video Music Awards

A full list of the nominees for the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, including Justin Timberlake, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd & Miguel.

This year’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) will take place on August 25 at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, and today MTV have announced the list of nominees for the wide range of different categories. Nominees include Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Flying Lotus, A$AP Rocky, the Weeknd (in the “Artist to Watch” category), Beyoncé, Miguel, Janelle Monae, Alt-J, Lana Del Rey, and Vampire Weekend, while Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead the way with six nominations each.

Starting today, fans can vote for their favourite artist in eight of the major categories, including Best Pop Video, Best Hip-Hop Video, and Video of the Year by heading over to MTV’s VMA website here.
