Tiësto Links Up With (RED) To Fight AIDS

1.

While this isn’t the first time that producers dance music have aligned to fight a worldwide problem, this might be the biggest united front created to tackle an epidemic like AIDS. Tiësto, fueled by a trip to Africa in 2006, has linked up with the (RED) organization to compile DANCE (RED), SAVE LIVES, an EDM compilation that will be released on the 27th of November. Heavy hitters in the EDM world, including Calvin Harris, Diplo, Aviici, and others will be featured, including Tiesto’s collaboration with U2‘s Bono on a cover of “Pride.”

When I went to Africa in 2006, I was struck by the devastating effect of AIDS. Now the world has an incredible chance to make sure that babies are born HIV free by 2015, and the dance community is going to make a lot of noise to help make this happen. – Tiesto

The Stereosonic festival in Melbourne goes down during the 1st and 2nd of December, which is also World AIDS Weekend. Tiesto andartists featured on DANCE (RED), SAVE LIVES will be live-streaming their sets via YouTube. You can also RSVP via Facebook to get up-to-date info on the event, a tracklist for the album and links to purchase the compilation.
