Mere weeks after releasing his latest mixtape Colors, YoungBoy Never Broke Again has already returned with a new song titled “Mr. Grim Reaper.”

The latest offering from the Baton Rouge lyricist cropped up on his official YouTube channel on Tuesday morning. Reflective in nature, YoungBoy engages in a dialogue with the Grim Reaper, demanding answers for why so many loved ones have been taken from him. He reflects on specific family members that have been killed and pleads for peace in his meditative bars.

The new track comes after the 22-year-old was given 13 more RIAA Gold & Platinum certifications on February 4. It also comes after YoungBoy scolded his label Atlantic Records for allegedly blackballing him.

“I was going #1 two weeks straight with a mixtape so they took it down off the charts,” YoungBoy reportedly wrote on his YouTube page per a post shared by Akademiks. “I don’t give a f*k you still can’t stop me don’t sign to Atlantic if you a artist they not gone support you especially if you live a certain way.”

This isn’t the first time YB has bit back at major labels in general. He told Akademiks in December during an interview on his Off the Record podcast that he had one more album required in his Atlantic contract and said that after those requirements were met, he wouldn’t be interested in hearing what the label had to offer.

“They ain’t gonna come back to me, because I ain’t trying to hear shit they got to say,” he said.
