SYRA, an up-and-coming talent from France, is about to make her presence known in R&B and for her latest single, “Wine”, she connects the worlds of Paris and London seamlessly.

Featuring a killer verse and mean-mug-worthy ab-libs from East London rapper BackRoad Gee, the Monomite & Loubenski-produced scorcher boast nocturnal keys and woozy, recoiling drums, with SYRA’s sultry, relaxed vocals making this a reload-worthy jam packed with numerous flows and melodies.

“I want [my] songs to feel like a pill,” says SYRA. “You close your eyes and go somewhere magical for three minutes. I like to switch it up! I guess it’s easier for people to relate to your music when you show your weaknesses; I deliberately write my music loosely so that anyone can tap into the emotion.”

For the visuals, SRYA and BackRoad Gee keep things pretty minimalist. Shot against pitch-black backdrops, the two artists perform in front of a truck’s headlights and flex their monochrome fits. “Wine” will appear on SRYA’s new EP, Pill, which is expected to land on Nov. 26. While we wait for that to drop, tap into the “Wine” visuals above and add the song to your playlists.
