Styles P stopped by the I Am Athlete podcast this week to talk shop with hosts Brandon Marshall, Chad Ochocinco, Channing Crowder, and Fred Taylor.

During the interview, the hip-hop veteran shared an interesting take on the ongoing beef between Drake and Kanye West.

”It’s a worthless battle,” Styles said. “It’s really an egotistical and prideful battle. Think about what we’re doing right now. One guy saying he’s a Certified Lover Boy. One guy titled the album after his dead mom, God rest the dead, much condolences. Why are we comparing them?”

He continued, sharing his personal opinion on the much-compared LPs. “Sonically, I like Drake’s album better. Content-wise, I like Kanye’s album better. I don’t have to put myself in a box and say which one is better.”

“I have two fucking individuals in myself that say, ‘Content-wise this guy’s relating to his mom, talking about Christ and all kinda other shit,” he continued. “This guy’s talking about rich n***as,  money, chicks he forgot, people mad at him, how much money he got, chicks he love who left him.’ He’s singing about girls, he’s singing about Christ.”

Styles recommended what Yeezy and Drizzy should do to squash their beef. “They ain’t even fighting, they ain’t arguing. … Go the fuck around the corner to square up or fucking hug. They should both shut the fuck up,” he said.

While Donda and CLB are two very different albums, both projects have tallied major numbers since dropping. Kanye’s latest effort topped the Billboard 200 earlier this month, earning 309,000 album equivalent units for the week ending Sept. 2.

Drake’s offering debuted at No. 1 this week, accumulating 613,000 album equivalent units, of which 562,000 accounted for streaming, equaling a staggering 743.67 million on-demand streams, with 28.84 million coming from video on-demand streams.
