A rap legend and true OG when it comes to songs about cannabis, Redman has just shared his latest track “Jane,” along with playful visuals and more news about his forthcoming album, Muddy Waters 2.

Released on 4/20, “Jane” follows Redman rapping about enjoying the recreational drug as he smokes with fans and rap peers like Snoop Dogg alike. “Jane” marks the return of the prolific artist, who took a hiatus from rap after dropping his song “80 Barz” last year. Now, Redman is gearing up to release his upcoming album, Muddy Waters 2, which should be arriving sometime this summer, according to a press release.

Redman doesn’t just love rapping about weed, but also educating the masses on the cannabis business as well. The Jersey legend announced today via HipHopDX that he’s teaming up with The Dab Roast as the show’s executive producer and director of programming for season two. When explaining what he hopes to accomplish with the series, which has celebrities take a dab hit and then answer a series of questions, Redman said he wants to focus  on cannabis education.

“I see a lot of places that’s been affected by the war on drugs that need to be handled in equity empowerment and better expungement clinics,” he said. “It’s a lot that needs to be done to really enjoy the plant for everyone like we intend to.”
