Quavo’s latest solo release “Honey Bun” is here.

He referenced the late Takeoff in one of his tweets promoting the single, hashtagging it #RocketPower🚀. The Keemotion-directed music video, above, promises “Rocketpower all summer” via title card at the end. It also nostalgically features Quavo parsing through handwritten tracklists for Migos projects like No Label 2 (below) and Culture III, plus lyric sheets for “Look at My Dab” among other bangers. The concept seems to be that every release earned the group enough to be worth its own safe deposit box at the bank.

Her Loss fans will immediately note Quavo taps into his frequent collaborator Drake’s viral “21, can ya do something for me?” flow. Notable bars include “2014 Huncho is back” and “I don’t wanna hear no sorry for my loss.” In the visual, “Honey Bun” wraps shortly after the two-minute mark and the Migo offers 30 seconds of a different track.

Quavo’s February track “Greatness” was a tribute to his late nephew and Unc & Phew co-creator as well. Just weeks before, he performed a potent rendition of “Without You” for the Grammys’ “In Memoriam” segment.
