Khalid has returned with his summery new song “Skyline,” and he’s delivered an equally as colorful video to match the energy of the track.
Directed by Levi Turner and Cody LaPlant, the video features Khalid and friends dancing in a grounded hot air balloon and running through grassy hills. It also takes the action to the skies, as the title of the track would suggest, with Khalid singing in his car as it glides through the clouds.
“'Skyline' to me is a recharge and full of summer vibes," said Khalid in a press release for the song. "I hope it brings my fans joy and gets them through any dark times they may be going through."
Late last year, Khalid shared his Scenic Drive mixtape, which featured collaborations with 6lack, Majid Jordan, Smino, Ari Lennox, and Alicia Keys, among others. Prior to that, however, the 24-year-old artist announced his third album, Everything is Changing, alongside the release of his track “New Normal.” However, the project has yet to materialize, but the release of “Skyline” indicate that could be changing later this year.
