If your dad is Kanye West, why be chauffeured around in luxurious foreign whips when you can ride to school in a fire truck?
Kanye looked to cement his status as the world’s coolest dad in the latest episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, which features a wholesome moment where Ye surprised his kids with an over-the-top ride to school.
North West, 8, alongside 6-year-old Saint, 4-year-old Chicago, and 3-year-old Psalm are seen walking out of the house to discover a red fire truck brought in courtesy of the Hollywood Fire Department. The family took turns sitting in the driver’s seat and trying on the fire helmets, while Kanye made sure to give himself a little credit for coming up with such an outlandish surprise.
“I think sometimes people are kinda bashful to be super-dads,” Ye explained. “Everyone wants to be a cool dad and sometimes you gotta wear the fire hat. Sometimes you gotta wear the Easter Bunny costume.”
In another notable moment from Thursday’s episode, Kim celebrated a personal accomplishment, as she learned she passed the California’s Baby Bar exam after previously failing the test three times.
Kardashian learned the news from a very unexpected location: the parking lot of Red Lobster, which North picked as her restaurant of choice after winning a basketball game.
“You are only allowed to take the baby bar a certain amount of times,” Kim explained. “This was the last time I could ever take it, so if I don’t [pass] then this law school journey is over for me.”
The latest episode of The Kardashians was also highlighted by Kourtney and Travis Barker announcing plans to partake in a panchakarma cleanse, which means the couple would have to abstain from caffeine, alcohol, and sex for a period of several days.
As for Kanye, his appearance alongside the Hollywood Fire Department in Thursday’s installment isn’t his first cameo on the new Hulu series. Earlier this month, a recent episode saw Ye hand deliver a hard drive containing alleged additional footage from Kim’s sex tape with Ray J.
“I know Kanye did this for me but he also did this for my kids,” Kardashian said about Kanye’s gesture. “I want to shield them from as much as I can. And if I have the power to, or if Kanye has the power to, that is just the most important thing to me and I’m just so emotional because of it. And it means a lot to me.”
