Fresh from celebrating last month’s ArrDee-assisted “Wasted” going Top 10, Digga D continues to feed fans with his latest drill number, “2k17”.
Jumping into a versus battle with his 2017 self, Digga D unleashes raw and magnetic flows over producer X10’s light-but-moody, hi-hat-heavy instrumental. The West London rhymer’s electric energy bleeds into the track thanks to his witty one-liners and blunt, hard-hitting bars.
“I went to the studio to reminisce about the old Digga back in 2017, and then shot the video for it [in the] same day,” Digga D said of the track. From February’s Made In Pyrex mixtape to his latest single, Digga has proven that he can shift between melodic, trappy flows and aggy drill shelling with ease, but always stays true to his foundations.
