If you’ve been anywhere near social media over the past 24 hours, you’ll be acutely aware that Dave and Central Cee have been working closely on something new. And if you’ve really been paying attention, you’ll have been waiting on this collab for at least a month when pictures surfaced of the chart-topping rappers together in the studio.
Hype was built up further when the pair recently ventured down to Balamii’s studios in Peckham for a B2B freestyle on the Victory Lap show: by the time that footage hit the ‘net, rumours were swirling that a song titled “By The Way” would be dropping tonight. The latter part was correct, but the track is, in fact, called “Sprinter”—and it’s a real bar-a-thon from the LDN rhymers.
The track and accompanying video dropped just moments ago with a summer-in-the-Med vibe to it. Aspirational to say the least, the visuals track Dave and Cench’s high-roller adventures between the UK and Monaco. Production, meanwhile, comes courtesy of Jo Caleb and Jonny Leslie, with additional contributions from Jim Legxacy, TR, Kyle Evans, and Dave himself.
