Coi Leray is proud of her album sales, and she’s ready to fact check those who don’t get their numbers right.

The “Blick Blick” MC took to Twitter Monday to respond to DJ Akademiks after he claimed her new album Trendsetter sold 9,000 units in its first week. As Leray, and the charts themselves, insist, she sold more than that.

“No baby, I sold 11.5k and charted #89 on the Billboard hot100,” Coi wrote alongside several colorful emojis. “thanks for everything tho.”

Coi also retweeted a note from Rap Alert, revealing that her LP has sold the aforementioned amount and, as a result, debuted at No. 89 on the Billboard 200. Those numbers have been backed by Chartdata as well.

Just this weekend, Coi continued to celebrate her debut album’s release on Twitter, and while she incorrectly claimed it had “315k album sales,” she still boasted a few other stats that any new artist would hope for. “4 Billboard top 100 entries (No More Parties , No More parties Remix, Big Prrd, Blick Blick,” she wrote. “6 nominations with no album. Millions of monthly listeners. TRENDSETTER THE ALBUM OUT NOW.”

As she wrote in The Shade Room’s Instagram comments Monday, while 11,500 sales won’t be bringing her to the top 10 of the albums chart just yet, it “ain’t no race” to success, but rather a “marathon.”

“[...] I can’t complain about anything,” Coi wrote on Twitter last week about her album sales. “My debut album is amazing and not one song can you say is bad. It been 5 days. I understand Coi Leray is so viral & works good on blogs headlines but trust me,it’s all part of the game just ride out andstayfocus.”
