Turkish producers Artz and Bugy have shared their newest song “War Time” with Freddie Gibbs.

Gibbs’ voice appears a few seconds in, almost as an aside, before he begins rapping and the beat drops—easily finding a pocket over Artz and Bugy’s murky production. “War Time” is the second single from the producers’ forthcoming debut EP We Survive, following the first track “Numby” with Jamaican rapper and producer Beam.

“A couple years ago we were imagining what sort of beat we would be making for Freddie Gibbs,” Bugy said in a press release. “When we got the chance, we just jumped on it, and he killed his part too.”

The project is also set to feature Royce da 5’9”, IAMDDB, Haluk Bilginer, and Turkish rapper Ezhel, who worked extensively with the producers for his 2017 debut, Müptezhel.

Artz and Bugy are known for being the architects of their country’s blooming rap scene. “We’re making this album to make the second one. We’re already itching. This record shows our potential as two producers from Turkey,” Artz said.

We Survive arrives on Oct. 29. Listen to “War Time” up top or stream it below via Spotify.
