To love is to experience the deepest of pains, pains one can only reasonably cure with a new Playboi Carti and Travis Scott collab.
Stream "Love Hurts," which popped up on Carti's SoundCloud Wednesday, below:
Back in March, we learned that Carti's new album—his debut studio full-length—was apparently finished. "Somebody from the label wants me to tweet Carti's albums done," producer Pi'erre Bourne said in a tweet that has since been deleted. Last year, Carti released self-titled debut mixtape via Interscope and AWGE. Hits like "Magnolia" and "Woke Up Like This" called the project home.
"Love Hurts" notably arrives after a tweeted promise from Travis Scott that fans would be well-nourished in the coming days.
Carti was originally set to join Shy Glizzy and Gashi for Big Sean's Unfriendly Reminder Tour this year. However, shortly after announcing the full run of dates, Sean decided to call off the entire tour due to studio concerns. "To all my fans: I've been in a deep creative space and decided I need to stay focused in the studio," Sean explained. "So unfortunately, I am postponing my upcoming tour."
Sean added that it's important to follow one's intuition and thanked fans for their continued support. "Trust, we are working on something special for you all," he said.
