Big Sean Postpones Upcoming Tour: 'I Need to Stay Focused in the Studio'

The tour was set to start in April.

Late Sunday night, a number of Big Sean fans began receiving emails from numerous ticket vendors telling them that the rapper had postponed his upcomingUnfriendly Reminder Tour with Playboi Carti and Shy Glizzy. A user on the Hip-Hop Heads Reddit pointed out the news early on without a source, but a number of the previously announced venues had updated their listings to include a note from Sean apologizing for the announcement as well as the reason behind it.

"To all my fans: I've been in a deep creative space and decided I need to stay focused in the studio - so unfortunately, I am postponing my upcoming tour," read the note. "I learned in life you have to follow your intuition - I hope you do the same. Thank you for your continued love and support. It means the world to me. Trust, we are working on something special for you all."

The venue for what was going to be the first show on the tour, CFE Arena in Orlando Florida, has posted the note confirming the news.

Sean announced the Unfriendly Reminder Tour earlier this month, sharing a poster with over thirty dates. He teased the tour in late January, but he also said he was planning to drop more music this year. Looks like whatever it is he was working demands his full attention right now.

"A lot of the tours I do [are] based off of one project. I wanna do something that's a culmination of everything," he said at the time.
