Kacey Musgraves keeps the 'Golden Hour' vibes alive and well in her new "High Horse" video, directed by Hannah Lux Davis. There's even a well-placed anti-Trump message tucked in.

The vast majority of modern country music has a way of churning the stomach unlike anything else in existence, what with the fake accents and aversion to evolution. That's why listening to increasingly psychedelia-influenced artists like Kacey Musgraves, Sturgill Simpson, and Margo Price feels like tapping into a true rarity in the genre. Despite the country music community's overall shunning of this wave of forward-thinking auteurs, all three have found critical acclaim and a dedicated fanbase elsewhere.

Thursday, the ascent continued with the release of Musgraves' predictably 🔥new video for her Golden Hour single "High Horse."

In the video, Musgraves brings the genre-blending track to life in a seemingly 1970s-era office by showing the power of a good daydream in the face of work-related bullshit. Catch the full thing, directed by Hannah Lux Davis, up top.

Musgraves has been taking Golden Hour across the globe as the opening act on Harry Styles' "Sign of the Times"–backed tour. Tragically, only two dates remain, though I can take some solace in the fact that at least both dates are here in Los Angeles at the Forum.

Next up, Musgraves embarks on her own Oh, What a World Tour. The extended trek begins in October with a run of international dates.
