At Least the Failed Fyre Festival Inspired Some Hilarious Memes and Jokes

The Fyre Festival was supposed to be luxury. Instead, we're left with Twitter jokes.

To say the absolute least, the "luxury" Fyre Festival didn't go as planned. Originally set to kick off Friday, Fyre Fest promised musical performances from multiple G.O.O.D. Music artists, Blink-182, Rae Sremmurd, Lil Yachty, and many more. On Thursday, just as social media posts regarding the festival's Bahamas setting were starting to take a turn for the worse, Blink-182 issued an ominous statement announcing their decision to cancel their scheduled performances at both weekends of Ja Rule and tech partner Billy McFarland's event:

By Friday morning, the entire festival had been postponed. "The festival is being postponed until we can further assess if and when we are able to create the high-quality experience we envisioned," the Fyre Festival "team" said in a statement on the event's official website. "We ask for everyone's patience and cooperation during this difficult time as we work as quickly and safely as we can to remedy this unforeseeable situation."

As the Fyre fallout continues, what exactly can we do to remedy the existential turmoil? Well, for one, we can laugh at Twitter jokes about it:

So how bad was it for those unlucky enough to have made it all the way to the Bahamas? Well, an anonymous would-be Fyre attendee told the Fader that they "knew it was going to be a shitshow" the second they landed. "It was nothing short of just bad," the person said.

The Fyre Festival "team" said Friday they will be providing updates to ticket holders via email and social media as they become available.
