A man was arrested and hit with charges of first degree home invasion and malicious destruction of a building after reportedly breaking into Eminem's Detroit-area home.

According to a report from TMZ, the incident went down earlier this month at approximately 4 a.m. and saw Em himself confronting the home intruder, identified as 26-year-old Matthew David Hughes.

Em's security team was reportedly not awakened by the sound of an alarm that was triggered when Hughes allegedly broke in through a kitchen window. Em, however, did wake up when the alarm went off and found Hughes "in his living room," at which point he shouted for his security team to apprehend the individual.

As clarified in the report, authorities do not believe Hughes was attempting to steal anything from the property but instead had broken in solely to risk it all for a chance to see Em in person.

Earlier this month, Eminem gave back to Detroit by offering up "Mom's spaghetti" for frontline healthcare workers.

Thank you Union Joints for the generous donation of meals to support our staff. They served one of their specialties, also a favorite of Eminem, titled “Mom’s Spaghetti.” We offer our heartfelt thanks and are grateful for the support. #DetroitStrong #ACommunityBuiltOnCare pic.twitter.com/17041kJAb4
