Now, per a report from TMZ, the Cleveland-held ceremony is set to see involvement from two people pivotal in Biggie's legacy: Diddy and Faith Evans. The report cites "sources close to Diddy" as stating that the "Mo Money Mo Problems" collaborator will attend the ceremony with his family.
Additionally, he's said to have something special planned, though it’s not yet clear whether that will include a performance. Given how late artists' inductions are typically handled, however, that seems fairly likely.
Evans, who was married to Biggie at the time of his death, told the publication directly that she's "ecstatic" about the induction and will also be in attendance. Furthermore, she's up for participating in the tribute performance segment of the ceremony.
Diddy and Faith Evans famously linked up with 112 for the Biggie tribute song "I'll Be Missing You" in 1997. The track, which is built around an interpolated take on the Police's classic "Every Breath You Take," ultimately won a Grammy and became a charts mainstay for months.
Biggie is joined in the 2020 Rock Hall class by Nine Inch Nails, Whitney Houston, Depeche Mode, and more. The ceremony takes place on May 2 in Cleveland and will be broadcast live by HBO.
