Buddy has marked his return with his new song featuring Blxst called “Wait Too Long,” which comes alongside a new video as well.

The Obsidian-directed clip sees the two artists dealing with the consequences of a party, and with Buddy facing some obstacles with a woman he’s interested in.

The Compton native also announced the release date of his forthcoming arrival of his sophomore album Superghetto, which is slated March 25 release via Cool Lil Company and RCA Records.

“It’s more about the essence [of] growing up in the hood,” Buddy told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1. “I’m from there, so its in me not on me and I take it everywhere I go. Everyone else just has to conform to the energy I’m bringing to the table. That’s what the album sounds like. My experience, from my perspective… the beat selection…its a bunch of different flows and cadences.”

Superghetto follows the deluxe version of his 2020 album Harlan & Alondra—which first arrived in 2018—and Buddy’s joint project with L.A. rapper Kent Jamz, Janktape Vol. 1.
