On Thursday, the bizarre is-he-quitting-or-not story took yet another strange turn. XXXTentacion popped up on Instagram with a preview of a new song. His explanation? "Said I was going to stop making âmusicâ but... I dont consider this âmusicâ đ "

Complex reached out to XXXTentacion's rep several days before this latest twist for clarification about XXX's record deal and for details about his promised $100,000 donation to domestic violence prevention groups, but has not received a response. The rapper's trial on charges of aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness-tampering begins on Dec. 11.
