While their working relationship and close friendship have always been public, recent pictures have surfaced of Lorde seeming more than friendly with Fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff in her hometown of Auckland, New Zealand, according to The Daily Mail. The 21-year-old singer had her arms wrapped pretty tightly around Antonoff while they were out and about, even walking with linked arms at some points.
It's only been a few weeks since Antonoff announced his split from Girls creator Lena Dunham, whom he had been dating since 2012, but he's already gone on record to clarify he's not currently dating anyone. "Normally I would never address rumors but I resent having the most important friendships and working relationships in my life reduced to dumb hetero normative gossip," he tweeted in mid-January. "With that said, I'm not seeing anyone."
While that may have been the case in January, these photos might be telling a slightly different story. The pair collaborates frequently, with Antonoff having written 10 songs on Lorde's Grammy-nominated album, Melodrama. Just ahead of this year's Grammy Awards, a source told The Daily Mail the two appeared "very much like a couple" at Clive Davis' annual party in New York City. 'They were very cute at Clive's party, he never left her side," the source claimed. "It was obvious they are dating. He couldn't keep his eyes off her. She looked very smitten as well, as if she was hooked. They are definitely more than friends."
