Quincy Jones had plenty to say about everything from dating Ivanka Trump to what he hates about modern pop in that classic interview with Vulture, but one of the biggest bombshells was when he accused the greatest entertainer of all time was a thief that was among the biggest bombshells. “Michael stole a lot of stuff. He stole a lot of songs....He was as Machiavellian as they come," he said in the interview.

Now, according to Page Six , Michael's father Joe Jackson and some other members of the Jackson family are hitting back against the 84-year-old producer and the comments he made. Reportedly, one family member told Page Six they think Jones “must have the first stages of dementia.”

Joe initially didn't have too much to say when TMZ asked him about the comments a few days ago, only saying that Jones "knows better" than to make those accusations. But now he's offering up his own ideas about where the comments really stem from, saying he thought Jones was “quite jealous of Michael because he’s never worked with someone with all of that talent.” Another family member echoed this, saying Jones “quietly carried a vendetta” against the icon. “It goes way back, and [Jones] recently got money from Michael’s estate,” said the relative, likely referring to the multi-million dollar win against the late singer's estate for unpaid royalties.

Michael and Quincy had a notorious fallout before his death in 2009 even after working together on some of the star's biggest albums. In the early '80s, Michael reportedly contested Jones' ability to receive any producer Grammys from his album "Thriller," not wanting to share the spotlight for work he felt he'd done on his own. “Michael did all of the work. It’s his music and everyone knows Michael’s sound” said another family source.

Joe also maintains that the song "Billie Jean," which Jones claimed Michael lifted the hook of from the Donna Summer song "State of Independence," was 100 percent written by Michael, but says any similarities would have been Jones' own fault: “He says my son stole it, but he was the producer on both, so if anybody is wrong it would be Quincy."
