OG Ron C and his Chopstars work tirelessly releasing great chopped-not-slopped versions of today's stand-out albums. But certain artists loom larger in the Chopstars catalog, Drake especially. (If you haven't heardChop Care, you're not loving yourself; "Over My Dead Body" chopped and screwed is a miracle.)
Drake's long showed love for Houston, and the city returns the favor with CODEINE VIEWS. "Redemption" becomes an eight-minute long exorcism of all of the MC's relationship demons. Popcaan is rightfully returned to "Controlla" and the "She Rode Dat D" interlude is a very necessary H-Town addition to the tracklist. Listen to Mary's vocals on "Weston Road Flows" and try not to shed a little tear.
