New Jersey state police detectives were seen questioning Yo Gotti's protégé Moneybagg Yo after a shooting in Woodbridge, New Jersey left at least two men injured Friday. At press time, neither Moneybagg Yo—whose government name is Demario White—nor anyone accompanying him were arrested or charged with any crimes. Video obtained by NBC indicates the rapper’s Mercedes Sprinter van sustained gunfire.

“The conditions of the two people shot are also unclear,” reported NBC’s Checkey Beckford. “But rest area workers who aided the injured, including one shot in the head, say they were alert and talking.”

A subsequent CBS report stated both victims were in “serious but stable condition.” According to various media reports, the shooting happened at approximately 7:00 p.m. Friday night. Police arrived in minutes, and they remained on the scene for several hours. It’s unclear what led to the shooting, and the names of the victims have yet to be made public.

Moneybagg Yo and his associates were some of the multiple people authorities held for questioning inside the Thomas Edison service area in Woodbridge, New Jersey following the shooting. The men were reportedly in Newark, New Jersey Friday night for a performance.

The Memphis, Tennessee-bred rapper saw his stock rise with the regionally popular single “Narley” and inked a deal with Yo Gotti’s CMG imprint in October of 2016. The pair released the free project 2 Federal on October 31, 2016.
