Juelz Santana Will Reportedly Surrender for Newark Airport Gun Incident

The Diplomats rapper is expected to turn himself in at approximately 9:00 a.m. Sunday.

Juelz Santana is expected to turn himself in to authorities Sunday after TSA agents found a gun on the Diplomats rapper in Newark Airport. Juelz, whose given name is LaRon James, is believed to have fled the scene in a taxicab after a loaded weapon was found in his bag on Friday.

“PAPD detectives have been searching for him,” reported New York CW affiliate WPIX Sunday. “Police from Totowa, New Jersey said they were told the rapper will be turning himself in Sunday morning.”

Given New Jersey’s gun laws, Juelz could be facing several potential legal hurdles moving forward. Per the TSA, those traveling from New Jersey with firearms should have their weapons “unloaded and packed inside a hard sided firearm case.”

WPIX cited both anonymous sources and a separate report via the South Passaic Daily Voice indicating Juelz was scheduled to turn himself in to authorities at approximately 9:00 a.m. local time Sunday.
