Kicking off on December 5 is the 12th edition of Art Basel in Miami Beach, the country's largest art show. The 2012 edition saw some 50,000 people converge in Miami to see the overwhelming number of galleries, discussions, shows, installations, and much, much more, and we have a feeling the attendance could increase this year, especially with the number of dance music-oriented shows going down. It makes sense; Miami is the center of the electronic dance music world during the annual Winter Music Conference, and even though Art Basel is more geared to the art world (obvs), it's a given to infuse the world of dance music into such a huge event. We wanted to make sure that, if you're out there getting your art on, you have a spot to hit where you can then get your dance on, so why not compile a solid list of dance music options for your December Miami stay? There's at least one thing going on every day, so you truly have no excuses.
CHAPEL

FRESH.i.AM and Heroes x Villains are linking up for CHAPEL, which kicks off at Art Basel. You can expect some of the finest in luxury trap, and a preview of the forthcoming free CHAPEL EP from HxV, which drops on December 9. From the organizers: "Chapel's purpose is to create a neo-modern take on the value-relation of products and mans relationship to products. This installation is comprised of a light installation created in collaboration with visual effects studio Goma, an original score and performance by HXV, and fashion product installation by FIA. As an homage to a pre-internet sense of discovery, items will be presented in limited quantities and only be available at CHAPEL."

This might be the most stereotypical "EDM" event of the entire Art Basel this year, but Miami is one of the American capitals for dance music, so it's to be expected. If you and your party wanted to floss a bit and hear a Pete Tong selection, you might as well.

Fool's Gold doesn't fuck around, trust. Their "Day Off" parties have been popping off since the end of the summer, and to have the crew hit Miami on the last day of Art Basel, with everyone from Trick Daddy to Nick Catchdubs on the bill? Should be a proper send-off.
