In a week which saw A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, Demi Lovato, and Miley Cyrus drop new projects, it was Shania Twain who finished atop the Billboard 200 album chart. Now, Shania's first studio album since Up!, which came out in 2002, became the second country music album to crack the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 this year, joining Life Changes by Thomas Rhett.
Tell Me You Love Me by Lovato came in at No. 3 after selling 75,000 units with 48,000 coming from traditional album sales. Demi's latest project joins her previous five releases which all debuted, at least, in the top four. 2015's Confident finished second in its first week on the charts.
Sitting closely behind Tell Me was The Bigger Artist by A Boogie Wit da Hoodie which moved 67,000 units. Even though his first full-length studio album amassed small numbers (10,000) in traditional album sales, A Boogie's project did most of its damage in streaming with 54,000 coming from SEA, or streaming equivalent albums. That total comes out to 81.2 million on-demand audio streams for the album’s tracks in its first week. Miley Cyrus' Younger Now rounded out the top five with 45,000 units, 33,000 of which came from traditional album sales.
Coming in at No. 2 was the Greatest Hits album from the late Tom Petty. In its return to the charts, Greatest Hits moved 84,000 units, a 2,231 percent increase in sales.
