TMZ has learned that Suge Knight dismissed the lawsuit he filed against Chris Brown stemming from a 2014 shooting at 1 OAK nightclub. Suge was shot seven times at the pre-VMA party hosted by Brown, who was believed to be performing when the shots rang out.

Brown's lawyers from the law firm Geragos & Geragos reportedly sent a "nasty letter" to Suge, suggesting that he rethink pursuing legal action while threatening to counter with a malicious prosecution lawsuit when his case falls through. The letter may have been the catalyst behind Knight's decision to drop the lawsuit.

At the moment, everything appears to be looking up for Brown with his eighth studio album, Heartbreak on a Full Moon, set to drop in a week. Typically, Breezy is marred in controversy that he's forced to address at every radio and TV show appearance. If taking a creepy shot at Jennifer Lopez during an interview is as bad as it's going to get for CB this time around, he most likely will take it.
