The xx haven't released an album together since 2012, though Jamie xx did gift fans with his debut album, In Colour, earlier this year. Of course, Jamie recruited xx bandmate Romy Madley Croft to contribute to his solo effort, which was easily one of the best albums of 2015. The album also boasted one of the year's best songs with the Young Thug and Popcaan-featured track "I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times)."
According to the xx’s Facebook page, Romy, Jamie, and bassist-keyboardist Oliver Sim are all back in the studio together. “Winter studio hibernation. xx The xx,” they wrote. We can only hope this means they are finally working on their follow-up album to 2012's Coexist. Check out their in-studio update below.
