Capping off a whirlwind twelve months that saw her get nominated for Best R&B/Soul at last year’s MOBO Awards, make standout appearances on Kojey’s Reason To Smile album, and release a couple of brilliant projects in At Sixes And Sevens Remixed and Major Mantras, Tiana Major9 has released a new EP titled Fool Me Once.
For the most part, it’s the tight-knit collaboration between East London’s Tiana and trusted producer PRGRSHN that guides each of the four tracks, but there were one or two guests. In addition to rapper Smino’s contribution, they also called on producers Phelix, NOVA Wav and Kxhris to lend a hand with the intimate, deeply soulful backdrops for Tiana’s silky but direct storytelling.
Speaking on the EP and what a full-length album might sound like, Tiana said: “These are four tracks I love so much and couldn’t wait to perform and share them with the world because it’s been a minute. Fool Me Once will give you a good idea of what my album will feel like; I hope you love these songs as much as I do.”
