PS Hitsquad has dropped off a double bill visual for his new singles, “Guten Tag” and “Jeden Tag”, and it looks like the beginning of a new chapter for the Peckham wonder.
“Guten Tag” kicks off with typical energetic bluster as he slices and dices his way through quickfire rhyme schemes and cruddy street talk over Parked Up’s bassy instrumental. That one’s proving an early fan favourite, taking the bulk of the streaming figures online, but “Jeden Tag” on the flip deserves at least as much praise. Produced by Parked Up again, this time alongside X10, “Jeden Tag” slows things down a bit and gives us a slightly different side to PS.
Romael handles the visuals, following PS round the block in his whip for “Guten Tag”, mirroring his tightly-wound rhyme schemes with quick edits and scene changes before we move to “Jeden Tag” with a moodier studio setting and a change into a crisp, all-white fit and the bally to match.
The new tracks were released on Friday via Moves Recordings, which recently celebrated its fifth anniversary, and between the sky high production value and the cryptic promise that he’s “got more for you lot”, it sounds like 2022’s going to be a big one for rapper and label alike.
