Detroit funk band Will Sessions have linked up with Parliament/Funkadelic alumnus Amp Fiddler and Detroit trio Dames Brown for a Motor City super collab. "Belle Isle Drive" sees the expansive group of musicians and vocalists summon the spirit of classic '70s funk and soul. Between the band and Amp Fiddler's musicianship and Dames Brown's rich and powerful vocals, it's like being plunged back in time.
"Belle Isle Drive" comes as the latest taste of a new album between them all entitled The One. It's not the first time Will Sessions and Amp Fiddler have linked up; last year they released a live album together, presumably setting the scene for this year's collab. Take a listen to "Belle Isle Drive" below and then keep an eye out for the album when it drops Oct. 26 (pre-order it here).
