This year has, we hope, proven to be a little more peaceful for Brisbane artist Vancouver Sleep Clinic. 2017 was a tough one for the singer, marked by a long and drawn-out battle with his label at the time. Now those troubles seem to be over and, beginning with the Therapy Phase 01 EP earlier this year, the 21-year-old's back into the swing of releasing music.

"Mercy" is the latest to emerge from the stockpile built up during the time he was unable to release music, and it's one of his more upbeat releases. Stepping in for a bold guest appearance is Toronto singer and rapper Ebhoni who gives the track a burst of energy to contrast against VSC's ghostly vocals.

It may have only been a year since VSC released debut album Revival, but given the flurry of new music we've had since his label troubles, there's a good chance he's sitting on a decent stockpile of music. Here's hoping there's plenty more where this came from.
