Mount Kismet

Based between London and Berlin, Mount Kismet are a trio united by a passion for Middle Eastern culture, in all its many forms and variations. Despite having just one single under their belt, they've already recorded their debut album, Warmer Lanes, and are just about ready to drop it on Moscoman's Tel Aviv-based label Disco Halal.

Before that arrives, the trio are today lifting the lid on one of the album's many, many highlights, "Djinn". Selecting just one track from the 10-tracker was an impossibly hard task, but "Djinn" edged out in front thanks to its rousing synth melodies, Middle Eastern chord progressions, driving techno rhythms and bold splashes of colour that seize the listener in ways you can't imagine. A piece of electronica stuffed full of emotion and passion, Warmer Lanes will be an essential listen when it drops tomorrow, November 15. Grab it here.
