Berlin's JATA released the first volume of The Bells back in July and most of those who heard the EP were astounded to discover it was his debut. Carefully balancing his jazz education with his love of hip-hop and soulful crooning, JATA knew he was on to something. Now, just 4 months later, he's ready to unleash the second part. The EP opens with the sequel to "Greed", one of the first EP's highlights, with its lush sonic palette that makes it sound like a live set recorded in a rainforest, and continues through with the electro vibes of "Ebony", the grand melancholia of "Apocalypse" and concluding with the almost wordless "We Will Follow", a sombre (but no less epic) full stop in this extended story.
