Ahead of the release of his new album Abyssal (due September 29 via HW&W), Berlin-born, Paris-based producer Evil Needle is sharing the album's latest single "Subsonic". Between the hip-hop inflections, the shiny electro synths and glittery melodies, the Parisian influence is plain to hear. Besides that, he lists his influences as everything across the hip-hop/R&B spectrum; from Wu-Tang to Hieroglyphics and everything in between. Abyssal, we're told, will be the sum total of his musical journey up to now. "I've always been producing a lot of different genres over the past 10 years," the rising producer explained. "This release pretty much sums up my various producing styles, ranging from house, future beats and R&B to trap and straight boom bap. Same styles, but deeper, aka Abyssal."
