Premiere: French Producer Edsik Calls On Logan For Grimey Thumper “Madsik”

Grime’s global influence continues and it’s thanks as much to outside forces as it is to our own stars getting themselves embedded in scenes around the world. Take French producer Edsik, for example, who’s just teamed up with new-gen grime star Logan on their new single “Madsik”. 

Edsik’s been championing grime for at least a decade now via his own music and his label, Alouette Street Records, along with a whole spread of international sounds including Afrobeats, house and garage. In the past, he’s worked with acts like Flowdan and Killa P, clearly enamoured with the ragga and dancehall-influenced end of the grime spectrum, and this time round he mixes in a jumpy garage beat for some extra bounce.

Sharing his own thoughts on “Madsik”, Edsik says: “The collaboration has been a long time in the making, and I’m looking forward to it getting out to the world. I felt Logan’s powerful vocal style would do justice to the beat, and I’m really hyped to see how it’s turned out!”
