Comparisons are already being made to the likes of Macy Gray and even Billie Holiday, but it's much more rewarding to enjoy her music as its own entity.

Chinwe

East London singer, songwriter and producer Chinwe is confidently carving out her own lane in the dual worlds of soul and R&B. Taking the helm on all fronts, Chinwe's debut single "Blue" was written, sung and produced entirely herself. It's a bold offering that eschews every obvious decision and each risk she takes already seems to be paying off in a big way. "Blue" is centered around her own inimitable vocals that are as emotive as they are strong, riding confidently over the searing, melancholic strings. Comparisons are already being made to the likes of Macy Gray and even Billie Holiday, but it's much more rewarding to enjoy her music as its own entity in a lane all of its own.

"Blue" is taken from Chinwe's upcoming, as-yet-untitled debut EP, which is due for release later this year.
