Raised on an impeccable diet of Sade, George Michael, Daft Punk and other pop icons, Berlin-based producer and singer Oriion has spent the past few years honing bigger and bigger pop anthems, culminating in today's "Ayodele". Oriion himself describes his music as "nostalgia pop", but we think he's being a little unfair on himself. There are, of course, nods to the past in the '80s-leaning production and the almost Tears For Fears-style hook, but we'd argue "Ayodele" and past numbers like "Siren Call" from earlier in the year are more 'timeless' than 'nostalgic'. And if he can keep this up, it's only a matter of time before he's dominating charts all over the world.
