He may have stepped into the filmmaking world with his debut, Major Paper, but Milli Major remains one of the most prolific in grime, cranking out tracks and videos at quite a rate. It’s on collabs where Milli Major really shines, like on this new one, “Skeem Set”.
It’s a crowded line-up, featuring Novelist, So Large, SafOne and an MC we don’t hear from nearly as much as we’d like, Slew Dem legend Chronik. Gathering together on an instrumental that puts stuttering hi-hats against classic grime squarewaves and plenty of low-end, the five MCs take turns in the spotlight in 31501’s visual.
Major announced the track with a little bit of viral marketing. Eagle-eyed fans around Edmonton, Bow, Maryland, Lewisham and Birmingham—the home turfs of the five MCs—were encouraged to keep an eye out for some specially made ‘wanted’ posters of each of them, all designed by Archie Griffiths.
