Exactly a month to the day since he released “Smokers Lounge”, his hazy, transatlantic team-up with TeamSESH founder Bones, UK rapper Lord Apex returns with some sci-fi-leaning, animated visuals for the track.
Produced by Angus Luke, “Smokers Lounge” is the latest in a series of collaborations Apex has put out this year. April’s “On & On” with Moroccan producer Saib and German producer FloFilz started the trend, which he continued with Erick The Architect when they joined Catching Flies for the second part of “True Colours” in May.
In fact, the run of loosies we’ve had from Lord Apex this year marks a rare period where we haven’t had a full-length from the West Londoner. Far be it from us to look a gift in the mouth, but we can’t help but wonder what else such a highly prolific artist has been working on.
