Ever since the one-two combo of the SMH and KMT EPs a couple of years ago, North London podcaster and rapper Jordy has been a man on a mission.

Last year’s joint project with Elt Cheekz, the 9-tracker If I Couldn’t Rap, I Wouldn’t Rap, was a major achievement and this year’s Prophets In Their Own Town kept the momentum going. But at the beginning of summer, he changed tack, declaring 2023 to be the summer of love with his new EP, The Love Ting.

It all started with “More Or Less” in June followed by “Too Much” with Louis Rei a month later. Alongside those singles, he also launched The Love Ting YouTube series, a run of interviews focusing on affairs of the heart, and now we have the EP of the same name.

Louis Rei, of course, features, as does regular collaborator Elt Cheekz, and rounding out the features are soul and R&B singers JADA and Kehina. Jordy’s cool-headed flow doesn’t take much tweaking to fit the smooth R&B licks of the production, most of which comes from OJ and Buyeza, along with Midnight Phunk, WLFY, Maths Time Joy, Iophiile, Jacob McKenzie, and Elt Cheekz.
