Music and culture writer Aniefiok Ekpoudom is gearing up for the release of his debut book, Where We Come From: Rap, Home And Hope In Modern Britain.
Slated for release via Faber in January 2024, the book looks at the evolution of both UK rap and grime and plots the genre’s connections to key moments in social history. It also promises to tell the stories of artists and creators from all corners of the United Kingdom, giving due credit to the contributions from the West Midlands to South Wales and beyond.

To mark the publication of Where We Come From, Ekpoudom will be discussing the book at a special event at London's Southbank Centre on January 26, 2024.
