Trip-hop as it was might be a thing of the past, but the sound has still has a place today influencing a wave of vocal-lead beats-meets-trap-meets-R&B and pop style cuts. It's not all dark, seductive, and sensual like the yesteryears of Portishead and Massive Attack, but there's definitely still some of that. Kill Them With Colour remixed Marian Hill's "Got It" and gave it some of that vibe. No it's not trip-hop, but like trip-hop this track has a certain intensity focused around female vocals and it's oh-so-real. KTWC has been a remix winner in the past with their works, but this one takes the cake.
